Consul-General guest of honor at American Friends of British Art benefit.

Nearly 100 guests attended a cocktail reception benefiting the American Friends of British Art. The “Indochine” event took place Feb. 5 at the William R. Eubanks showroom on Hibiscus Avenue.

British Consul-General Keith Allan was the guest of honor

Attendees nibbled hors d’oeuvres while perusing period porcelain and artwork from the Eubanks collection.

Eubanks was chairman of the event, with Allan serving as honorary chairman and Michael Ridgdill, AFBA president, serving as co-chairman.

Guests included Mary and Mandell Ourisman, Susan Keenan, Carolyn Buckley, Bruce Sutka, Mitchell Brown, Virginia Oatley, John Ripley, Jennifer Garrigues and Stephanie Rockwell.

Proceeds from the evening benefit AFBA and its programs. The organization recently funded the restoration of two historic oil portraits in a Scottish museum.
