Diplomats and socialites gathered recently at the Palm Beach showroom of William R. Eubanks, who played host to the British Consul-General, the Honorable Keith Allan, to raise funds for American Friends of British Art. In Palm Beach from Washington DC and New York, these art enthusiasts were greeted by the Consul-General and AFBA founder and President Dr. Michael Ridgdill. Guests mingled while enjoying Asian-inspired hors d’oeuvres amidst a chinoiserie fantasy of period porcelain, tapestries and Old Master paintings from the Eubanks collection. Nearly 100 guests were in attendance throughout the evening, including former Ambassador to Barbados, the Honorable Mary Ourisman and husband, Mandell Ourisman, Susan Keenan, Carolyn Buckley, Bruce Sutka, designer Mitchell Brown, Virginia Oatley, Therese Mersentes, John Ripley and Stephanie Rockwell.
